Deadheading

When 2 or more engineers are deadhead and a call is received enroute to relieve a train it will be the engineer who was 1st up at call time that will have his choice, (a) whether to remain deadheading or (b) work the relief train called for. Hours of service will apply and take precedence.

Temporary Vacancies

Successful applicants on vacation TV's will protect same until the man is due to return, at this time he may at his option remain on the vacation TV or exercise his seniority to other TV's he has not passed up.

Effective immediately it is the position of this Division that all engineers in Road
Service (westbound) lifting at Sarnia, file a stand alone claim for 100 miles.
Article that should be quoted is 13.1 and arbitration case 3043.
This claim is to be filed regardless whether your train proceeds to Port Huron or is
terminated in Sarnia. Your working ticket should not include a PF for a lift at the
final terminal.
A claim for a set off is in order and should be included on your
working ticket.

As stated above use the stand alone claim until an IP claim code is created.
