Crush in Concert! By: Chris McOuat
I could barely contain my excitement when I learned that Econoline Crush was on the bill for EdgeFest '97 here in Vancouver. Unfortunately, they were assigned to the side stage meaning that their performance was limited to about 20 minutes between two other acts on the main stage, but that 20 minutes was the most fun I had the whole day. The band started off with "Home" and very quickly energized the crowd before breaking into "Sparkle and Shine", "Devil You Know", and "All That You Are (X3)" before finishing with an awesome rendition of "Wicked". During this time the people who made their way over to see the band, such as myself, were going wild in the mosh pit. In my opinion their show was the best show-per-minute of the whole concert and that's saying something when some of the other bands headlining included Collective Soul (another favourite of mine), Silverchair, I Mother Earth, Tea Party and Our Lady Peace. I also waited in line for about an hour to get autographs from the band members, which I have scanned below with an extra message from Trevor below his signature!
