CHAPTER PROGRAMS

CITIZENSHIP:
We supply lunches at Citizenship Court, postage stamps are sent to OXFAM, eye glasses and lenses are sent to THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES, Wreath is placed at the local CENOTAPH.


EDUCATION:
A $200.00 scholarship is presented each year to a student graduate from SCITS (Sarnia Collegiate and Technical School) who lives in St. Clair Township and is now attending college or university.

We also award prizes for proficiency in English to Grade Eight students at four schools in St. Clair Township plus the Aamjiwnaang (Sarnia First Nation) School.

In 1983 our chapter adopted the Grade 9 Class at Nukum Mani Shan School in Davis Inlet, Labrador. We continue to support this worthwhile endeavour with extra supplies for the classroom e.g. drawing materials, calculators, etc., as well as many items requested by the teacher. This community has now been relocated to Natuashish on the Labrador mainland where Cathcart Chapter will maintain our assistance in the adopted classroom.


SERVICES:
We supply grooming bags to the Sarnia Interval Home; grooming bags, clothing, and sports equipment to Nukum Mani Shan School in Natuashish, Labrador; powdered milk to the Sarnia Inn Of The Good Shephard; magazines for local hospital waiting rooms; donations to Snack Pak; 100th Anniversary Project; we support Cancer Camp Trillium and E.C.C.C.E.
