Welcome to Donna and Paul's personal section of our Web page. We are glad you stopped by for a visit. We hope you find our site interesting.

We are often asked "where is Corunna"  and we usually say just down river fron Sarnia about 5 minutes.

We live just south of "the Chemical Valley of Canada", the City of Sarnia, Ontario, in the County of Lambton. And, as you can see from the map, above, we are near the shore of beautiful Lake Huron. But, better still we are right on the shore of the St. Clair River where huge lake and ocean going frieghters abound. Since they come quite close to shore the boat viewing is fantastic. As a matter of fact our area is known as "Bluewater Country" and first time visitors are always amazed at the true blue color of the water in Lake Huron and the St. Clair river.

The area is called Canada's chemical valley because it was the birthplace of the modern petro-chemical industry. It was not far from here, in Oil Springs, that oil was first discovered in North America and was refined in facilities just east of us in Petrolia.

Did you know that at one time, many, many years ago back in the 1800's, it was proposed that Corunna become the Capital of Canada?

The Sarnia area is also well known for it's international bluewater bridge connecting Sarnia with Port Huron, Michigan.

Our family home is situated at
514 Belmont Ave. in Corunna

ONTHE JOB

I have worked for the same company for 34 years. When I first started working there it was called Polymer but there have been many name changes and in 1990 Bayer AG acguired the company and we are now Bayer Inc. the only synthetic rubber company in Canada.

For the last 25 years I have worked in the Steam and Power Plant.  (above)  Our company has a historical background as it was built during the Second World War.
