The Faired Low Racer Recumbent Bike

This bike was built in the spring/ summer of 2000. I was always interested in this style of bike but the cost of one looked like it would never come to be.

As with the other bikes I have done, the base frame was built out of old bike parts and the bike was designed with a system in place for mounting a fairing system on. The fairing was made by Reg Redaro.

The end result is fun to us bike that is great as a long distance traveller. The fairing takes much of the edge off the wind while allowing a nice flow of air at it's edges.

For more more detailed report on this bike, e-mail Steve for the htm file that was posted.
