We are pleased to once again offer every district in Ontario a complimentary booth, so that each district can be there to greet the 10's of thousands of snowmobilers that come to the show. We are also very pleased to be able to offer free rooms, tables, chairs and admission for the kids who take part in the driver training program at the show. Corry & Shirley Coyea have been involved with the Glencoe & District Snowmobile Club for several years. They not only hold positions with the local club but also have position at the District Level. Corry is a Trail Patrol Instructor as well as a Trail Inspector for the District. Through the season he will ride different club trails and inspect them to make sure that their signs and trails are done according to the by-laws and guidelines set by the Ontario Federation Of Snowmobile Clubs. Corry also received the District 5 Trail Patrol award for 2009. Shirley is involved with the local club but she also has recently become a Driver's Training Instructor. She will be running driver's courses through the season to teach anyone 12 yrs old and up how to drive a snowmobile safely and the rules and guidelines set out by the ministry of transportation and Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. You would be surprised that a lot of people do not realize that you have to have either a valid driver's license or a Snow vehicle Operator's license to operate a snowmobile. It is the law. |
