FAITH FORMATION, YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS MINISTER
Position Available in London Conference
London Conference of The United Church of Canada is looking to fill the position stated on a full-time, permanent basis at the Conference office. Please distribute this information as widely as possible.
We are seeking an individual to work in:
* Ministry with youth, youth leaders, United Church camping and outdoor ministry, as well as faith formation with a multi-generational focus.
* Fostering possibilities for continuing growth in faith and discipleship.
* Initiating, encouraging and nurturing experiential, educational opportunities for persons of all ages.
* Establishing and building networks of youth and young adult leaders in all areas that foster healthy connections with youth and young adults in the church and society.
This individual will have, among other skills:
* Skills in resourcing and implementing strategies to Presbyteries and congregations in various ways including, but not limited to: Faith Formation and working with Youth and Young Adults, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Leadership Development and Church Camping.
* Skills in educating and encouraging leadership among youth and young adults and those on their way towards becoming the next generation of youth leaders in the church. Also needed is the ability to educate congregations regarding new models of multi-generational worship that include new thinking in youth ministry.
* Communication, cheerleading and promotional skills to ensure that youth events, educational opportunities, resources and children's Christian education opportunities are promoted, supported and encouraged throughout Presbyteries and congregations.
* Knowledge and background to be
the Go to Person' for camping questions, concerns and
emergencies. Besides being a supporter of day and residential camping
programs, strengthening and building the camping network will be needed.
