Watford Public School Council

The Watford Public School Council became a mandatory component of the school body in June of 1996.  Several open meetings for parents and community members are held during the school year.  Elected/Acclaimed members of the Council vote on issues that arise. Names and phone numbers of executive members are available in the office.  (Detailed guidelines for the Council are available at the school.)

Our Mission Statement at Watford Public School is to work in conjunction with the staff, parents, students and the community to promote a safe and nurturing environment where students can achieve their academic and school potential.  We are also committed to developing common goals focused on the betterment of all students.  We recognise our responsibility as a communication link between the school and its community.

Our School Profile was developed in March, 1997 to include the school philosophy statement, the mission statement, a summary of community qualities/information, the school's unique qualities, and the climate/culture/traditions of the school. (Copies of the complete profile are available upon request at the school office.)
