Parent Volunteers
We welcome parents and community members who are are
willing to volunteer time to work with students. Tasks might include:
- Listening to children read
- Sharing your computer skills
- Helping with Special Events
- Assisting at coaching sports
- Going on field trips
- Preparing activity materials
Tips for Parents
Education is a TEAM effort between
students, parents and the school. Parents can help by:
- Insisting that their children attend regularly and
punctually;
- Insisting that their children eat a proper breakfast and
lunch;
- Ensuring that their children get adequate sleep by
enforcing a regular bedtime;
- Encouraging children to follow the "homework
policy";
- Being supportive of the school's "Code of
Beahaviour" and encouraging children to follow the code
- Monitoring school progress (when problems occur, find out
what the problem is before it becomes serious).
