At Watford Public
School we strive to:
- Be punctual, prepared and attend regularly;
- Be respectful of self, peers, teaching staff, support staff, guests, school property,
neighbours;
- Complete tasks/assignments to the best of one's ability and seek assistance when
necessary;
- Bring notes signed by parents/guardian for absences and be responsible for work missed;
- Refrain from chewing gum on school property;
- Be accountable for inappropriate behaviour;
- Respect and follow our Code of Behaviour.
P.A.L. Program
We have a Playground Assistance Leaders
(P.A.L.) Program in place. Students from the junior and intermediate
grades have been trained to assist primary students in peacefully solving problems on the
primary playground. Successful P.A.L. students sign a contract which outlines P.A.L.
duties and attend training sessions where they learn strategies for settling conflicts.
Regular meetings are held to discuss situations that they have encountered on the
playground. |
